- REMINDERPRO 3.3 : SYSTEM EXTENSION
-
- --------------------------------------------------------
-
-
- WHERE IT RESIDES
- ----------------
-
- The ReminderPro system extension file (also called the "Init")
- must reside inside the Extensions folder which is inside the
- System folder.
-
-
- WHAT IT DOES
- ------------
-
- The ReminderPro system extension works in the background
- continuously to display reminders at the appropriate times.
- While you use the ReminderPro application to schedule reminders,
- it is the system extension that displays the reminders.
-
-
- ACCELERATED FOR POWER MACINTOSH
- -------------------------------
-
- The ReminderPro 3.3 system extension will run on 68K and
- Power Macintosh computers. When running on a Power Macintosh,
- it will automatically run the accelerated version.
-
-
- TROUBLESHOOTING MEMORY ERROR MESSAGES
- -------------------------------------
-
- The ReminderPro 3.3 system extension can generate one of the following
- error messages when it runs out of memory:
-
- MESSAGE 1:
-
- The ReminderPro extension is out of memory.
- You will not be able to snooze reminders!
-
- MESSAGE 2:
-
- The ReminderPro extension did not load as it was not able to
- read the reminder database file. It may have run out of memory.
-
- MESSAGE 3:
-
- The ReminderPro extension did not load as it was not able to
- read the snooze database file. It may have run out of memory.
-
- These messages are received if you have a lot of reminders.
- The ReminderPro system extension reserves memory for certain
- number of reminders. If you reach the limit, the extension
- needs to be reconfigured for more number of reminders.
-
- Following are the steps to increase the extension memory.
-
- 1) Launch the ReminderPro application.
- 2) Hold down the option key and pull down the "Customize" menu.
- 3) Select "Extension Configuration" from the "Customize" menu.
- 4) Increase the parameter named "Init Zone Size" by 40 Kbytes.
- (Add 40 Kbytes to whatever is there).
- 5) DO NOT CHANGE ANYTHING ELSE.
- 6) Save the changes.
- 7) Restart your computer since this change takes effect only
- upon restart.
